Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (GEPON)

SUN Telecom’s SUN-GE8000 series GEPON (Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network) equipment is suitable for supplying high-speed, wide overlay fiber access network. Itconsists of SUN-GE8100 seriesOLT(Optical Line Terminal), SUN-GE8200 series ONU (Optical Network Unit) and ODN (Optical Distribution Network).

 

Features and Functions:

l Large capacity and long transmission distance
SUN-GE8100 is large OLT equipment with rack structure and 8 OLT module cards, supporting 8 PON systems and 256 remote ONU equipments and ensuring 10 to 20km transmission distanceunder high bandwidth.

l High QOS
Flexible bandwidth management function supplies debugging to different data stream through queue, minimal and maximal bandwidth control anddifferent stream weighting coefficient to fully guarantee QOS.

l Flexible Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation

SUN-GE8100 OLT can implement any change from 1M to 1G access bandwidth, supporting Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) according to changeable requirement of the customerand related service.

l Powerful OAM traits
SUN-GE8100 OLT supports auto-discovery and auto-register, user line testing, remote ONU fiber failure and power failure alert. It also contains abundant operation and manageable features such as MAC address limited and leached, IP address limited and leached, bandwidth control, VLAN, flow control.

l Perfect network management function

a)     Support convenient and simple CLI command line management

b)     Support Telnet GUI management based on CLI

c)     Support unified network management of GUI based on SNMP

d)     Provide centralized management, Telnet supervising, Telnet debugging and maintenance, and Telnet network upgrade
